Data Deletion Instructions
How to delete your BotReply account and data — whether you run a business on BotReply or chatted with one through it.
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Overview
BotReply lets businesses run AI assistants on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and their website. That means we hold two kinds of personal data: the account data of the businesses that use BotReply, and the conversation data of the customers who message those businesses. This page explains how each can be deleted. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
If You Run a Business on BotReply
You can delete your account yourself — no emails required:
- 1Log in to your dashboard at botreply.in.
- 2Go to Settings and scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- 3Choose Delete Account and confirm.
Prefer email? Write to support@botreply.cloud from your registered account email with the subject “Delete my account” and we will process the request for you.
What Gets Deleted
Deleting a business account removes all data associated with it:
- Account & team — your business profile, login credentials, and all team member accounts.
- Workspaces & agents — every workspace, AI agent configuration, and workflow.
- Knowledge base — all uploaded documents, products, FAQs, and the search indexes built from them.
- Conversations & contacts — all customer conversations, messages, contact records, leads, and actions.
- Channel credentials — WhatsApp Business API tokens, Instagram account tokens and Facebook Page tokens (all stored encrypted), Telegram bot tokens, and widget configurations.
- Billing identifiers — payment gateway customer and subscription IDs. Tax invoices are retained as required by law.
Disconnecting a WhatsApp channel (without deleting your account) immediately removes the stored access token for that channel and stops all message processing through it.
Instagram & Facebook Connections
If you connected a professional Instagram account or a Facebook Page to BotReply, you can end the connection and remove its data in any of these ways:
- Delete the channel in BotReply — in your dashboard, open Channels, choose the Instagram or Messenger channel and delete it. Its stored access token is removed immediately and no further messages are processed.
- Remove BotReply in Instagram — in the Instagram app, go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites and remove BotReply. Instagram tells us automatically: we switch the channel off and delete its access token straight away.
- Remove BotReply in Facebook — in Facebook, go to Settings → Business integrations and remove BotReply. Facebook tells us automatically: we switch off the Messenger channels of the Pages you connected and delete their Page tokens straight away.
- Ask Instagram or Facebook to delete your data — when you remove BotReply you can also request deletion of the data it received. We then delete the stored access token and the account or Page details immediately, and you get a confirmation code you can check on this page.
Your conversation history — the messages your customers sent and the replies to them — stays in your BotReply inbox as your business record. Delete it from Conversations, delete your account as described above, or email us and we will remove it.
If You Messaged a Business Through BotReply
If you chatted with a business on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, or a website chat widget powered by BotReply, that business is the controller of your conversation data. You can:
- Contact the business directly — ask them to delete your conversation history; they can do this from their dashboard.
- Contact us — email support@botreply.cloud with the phone number, Instagram username, Facebook name, or email you chatted from and the name of the business. We will verify the request and delete your conversation history, messages, and contact record from our systems.
To stop receiving WhatsApp messages from a business without deleting your data, reply STOP to any of its messages — you will be unsubscribed immediately.
Timeline
Deletion requests Instagram or Facebook sends us on your behalf are processed automatically the moment they arrive. Other deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days. Records we are legally required to keep — such as tax invoices and payment audit records — are retained for the statutory period and then deleted. We confirm by email once your deletion is complete.
